I would be concerned about the mgCl leaking & killing the plants. Propylene glycol may be a better option. For thermal regulation a Ground source loop would likely work much better than totes full of water. All you need is some trenches below the frost line & some black Poly tubing. Another option is to face the green house to face south and insulate the north side to reduce heat loss.

Did you sterilize the soil before bringing it into the container? Was that fairly infertile dirt you started with that you amended? Its pretty wild you didn't have any weed seeds in it.

Make this video again but use cryogenic tempratures inside the ball mill to crush the aluminum down to a very fine dust...I believe thats the main step in making nano thermite.

Could a semi-passive (vs forced air) system like this be used to cool your house? This seems perfect for the desert where it's super hot during the day but quite cold at night. The water reservoir could be allowed to get quite cold at night and protected in the day. Btw, is the magnesium chloride an antimicrobial agent?

@codys Lab Someone commented on a different video. Thought I would re- type/post it. I wanted Cody from Cody's lab to DIY a mercury scope with all that mercury he's got. Shouldn't be too hard for him. Neat video. I too would like to see him spin some mercury into a mirrored finish for a telescope!! You can do it Cody! You can do it all nite long!!! We're with you in spirit man!!

Hi Cody! Have you ever looked into/experimented with char-crete? If not, it's a potentially interesting form of carbon sequestration by adding biochar to the concrete mix, I think replacing some percent of the sand. Feels like it would be right in your wheelhouse.
